Krispy Kreme Optimizes Supply Planning and Demand Forecasting with Oracle Cloud
Krispy Kreme sought to centralize its planning function as a way of standardizing and then continuously improving demand forecasting across its shops. With its primary product — doughnuts — having such short lead times and requiring fresh production runs each day, Krispy Kreme required a more efficient, scalable, and mathematically accurate platform than its previous collection of multiple homegrown systems.
To realize this vision and support the growth of retail shops and its consumer packaged goods (CPG) operations, Krispy Kreme began looking for the right toolset along with a business partner that had business process consulting experience and technical expertise to implement the solution. The company was already running Oracle’s on-premise ERP solution and, accordingly, opted to pursue Oracle Cloud to enhance their Demand Management and Supply Planning capabilities, and selected AVATA to lead the implementation.
